PARK DEVELOPMENT
When residents visit the park being created on Park Avenue, they will have a place to sit and rest or reflect on their fondest memories of loved pets or family members. The benches donated by generous individuals have been installed; the engraved brick walkway will begin when the required number of bricks have been donated. In the very near future, residents walking their dogs along that street will have a place for their pets to get a drink of fresh water....the doggie drinking fountain will be installed.
Thanks to the donors for the benches and the fountain that will help make the park a very special place! Residents are invited to stop by the park and see the first of many improvements to be made on that vacant lot.
commemorative bricks update
Orders for engraved bricks for the memory walk in the new park being created on Park Avenue is progressing slowly, but the venture is progressing. By mutual agreement with all parties involved, work on the walk will not commence until all the bricks have been ordered so that the walk will be complete with one installation. When work begins is determined by the response by friends and resident.
Bricks can bear names of special people in your life or beloved pets, dates of special significance to you, other special events in your life or recalling milestones. Maybe you want to honor a friend with a brick in their honor, or maybe you want to surprise a special people in your life with a brick for their gift. The engraved messge can be 18-20 characters per line (spaces and punctuation count as a character), and the brick can have three lines. That is a lot of room to make the message meaningful.
Each brick order needs to be using a form using the link below. Simply fill in the blanks with the sentiment you want to appear on your brick, and send the completed form with payment to Island Cats at P. O. Box 173, Palm Beach, FL 33480 or email the completed form to pbislandcats@gmail.com. Call 561-512-4884 with questions of for additional information. Follow this link to print the order form.
And remember, the cost of the bricks is fully tax-deductible.
Proceeds from the sale of the engraved bricks will help Island Cats to advance their T-N-R program to control the homeless cat population in Palm Beach.
The brick costs $100, but the memory is priceless!
